Welcome to Geog Lopez, master's student at University Paris Saclay, who will investigate during 5 months the "Optimal fluid perturbations for the deformations of flexible foils".
Georg is a student in the research master Fluid Mechanics of University Paris-Saclay. He will be supervised by Jean-Lou Pfister and Olivier Marquet. His master thesis is about the application of a newly developed formalism aiming at determining the two-way coupling of convective hydrodynamics instabilities with elastic structures. In particular, Geog will determine and analyze the optimal flow perturbations leading to the largest linear elastic deformation of a flexible foil.
