On July 3, 2025, Inria and ONERA's AILab co-organized a day dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (AI) for defense, hosted in Dijon as part of the PFIA.
The objective was to bring together experts, institutional representatives, and industry professionals to explore two key themes:
Embedded AI for Defense (Robotics, Autonomous Systems)
Generative AI and Foundation Models for Mission Preparation and Planning
Following an agreement signed in 2019 between DLR and ONERA, AI4Aerospace workshops, on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in aerospace, are organized every year. From May 19 to 21, the 5th AI4Aerospace workshop enabled the two organizations to exchange views on their most recent results. These focused on machine learning for physics and partial differential equations, AI methods for design and operations management, certification of AI-based solutions, and AI for signal and image processing, as well as for control and monitoring.
The last edition of the International Workshop on Planning and Scheduling for Space (IWPSS) has been held in Toulouse, France, on April 28-30, 2025, chaired by Christian Artigues (LAAS-CNRS), Jean Jaubert (CNES), Cédric Pralet (ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab), and Steve Chien (NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory).
As part of the SPACERAISE training programme, Gauthier Picard presented the issues involved in multi-agent task allocation applied to Earth observation.
Gauthier Picard presented the centralised and decentralised models and algorithms used in the LiChIE and DOMINO-E projects led by ONERA.
Dans le cadre du programme de formation SPACERAISE, Gauthier Picard a présenté les enjeux liés à l'allocation de tâches multi-agents appliquée à l'observation de la Terre.
